Leicester Tigers have added tighthead prop Caoimhe O’Sullivan Roche to their women’s squad, signing the New Jersey-born player from New York Exiles.
She brings experience from two seasons in Women’s Elite Rugby (WER), including a run to the Legacy Cup final and a hat-trick against Chicago Tempest in the third round of the 2026 competition.
Fraser Goatcher, Tigers’ Director of Women’s Rugby, highlighted her contribution beyond the scrum: “A strong tighthead prop who brings a fantastic work rate around the park, Caoimhe will be a great addition to the squad.”
According to Leicester Tigers, O’Sullivan Roche played in 10 of the Exiles’ 11 matches during WER’s inaugural season, making eight starts and scoring twice. The team qualified for the Legacy Cup and finished runners-up.
She was also selected for the Exiles’ line-up for WER’s opening match on Saturday 22 March 2025, before continuing with the New York side for a second season in 2026.
O’Sullivan Roche said of joining Tigers: “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to run amongst and against some of the best in Women’s rugby.”
