Leicester City face Oxford City as 135 extra away tickets are released

Leicester City face non-league Oxford City at MGroup Stadium in the FA Cup first round on Friday night (6 November), with 135 extra away tickets released and the match live on TNT Sports.

Leicester’s allocation has increased from 465 to 600 after approval for a rise in the stadium’s capacity. It is the first time since 2008 that Leicester have entered the competition at the first-round stage.

Manager Russell Martin reported no fresh injuries ahead of the trip. He said he had the same players available as for the draw against Stevenage, with Jakub Stolarczyk, Ben Nelson and Jayden Joseph absent.

Some squad members were ill earlier in the week. Martin also said one or two players might be unable to feature because of their injury records and Oxford’s artificial pitch.

Joseph has not played since Leicester’s 4-3 win over Stockport County in September. Martin said that he was training but would need some time because he had been out for quite a while. We very much hope to have him in the squad again for the Huddersfield game.

Martin plans to select as strong a side as possible. Leicester can name nine substitutes in the FA Cup, compared with seven in League One.

Extra away tickets are subject to availability and are sent by email. Leicester says sales on tickets.lcfc.com close at noon on Friday 6 November.
