Leicester supporters can watch the FA Cup first-round trip to Oxford City live on TNT Sports and HBO Max on Friday 6 November. Kick-off is at 7.45pm, following the tie’s selection for television, according to tcf – filbert way.

Fans travelling to the match will be heading to the 3,100-capacity McGroup Stadium, also known as Court Place Farm, in Marsh Lane, Marston, Oxford.

A familiar face in the opposition

Former Leicester player Darnell Johnson is among Oxford City’s squad. He left the Foxes in 2021 and joined Oxford before last season, having represented England at youth levels from under-16 to under-20.

Oxford are leading National League North, the sixth tier of English football. Their route into the first round has taken them past Dorchester with a 2–0 win, Enfield with a 6–1 victory and Torquay with a 1–0 result.

Tyrone Marsh leads their scoring with eight goals. Scott Pollock has contributed six goals and two assists, while Ellis Brown has supplied four assists. Long-serving midfielder Zac McEachran has made more than 368 appearances for the club.

A club with a long cup history

Oxford City’s history stretches back to 1884. They won the FA Amateur Cup in 1906 and later had England’s World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore as manager, assisted by his former West Ham team-mate Harry Redknapp.

The club lost its White House Ground in 1988 when landlord Brasenose College sold the site for housing. After returning to senior football in 1990, Oxford moved to their current ground in 1993 and reached the FA Vase final in 1995.

Their highest league level came after promotion through the National League South play-offs in May 2023. They spent the 2023–24 season in the fifth-tier National League before relegation to National League North.
