Leicester striker Lorenz Hutchinson linked with fresh Lazio approach
Leicester City's Lorenz Hutchinson is due to become a free agent in July, with Lazio reportedly planning to revive their interest.
Leicester City could lose teenage striker Lorenz Hutchinson when his contract expires in July, with Lazio reportedly preparing another approach next year.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Leicester are understood to have put contract renewal discussions on hold. The Italian club want to take advantage of the 18-year-old’s expiring deal after an attempted move last summer stalled because the clubs could not agree terms.
Hutchinson has moved up to Leicester’s under-21s from the under-18s this season. His 10 appearances across all competitions have produced two goals.
Should a deal go ahead, Lazio would plan a role spanning their senior squad and Primavera youth side. Andrea Pinamonti is regarded as their only natural centre-forward, while Tijjani Noslin has played up front since the campaign began.
