Evolution Bar opens at former Revolution venue on Leicester’s New Walk
Evolution Bar has opened on Leicester’s New Walk, with cocktails, private hire and plans for coffee sessions, yoga and bottomless brunches.
New Walk has a new spot for cocktails and private parties, with Evolution Bar now welcoming customers at the former Revolution premises, Leicester Mercury reports.
Local brothers have reopened the venue following repairs to leaking roofs, damaged floors and plumbing. Co-owner Taran, 32, lives in Evington and has spent years running events around the Midlands.
The owners want to extend the bar’s appeal beyond late nights. Their plans include coffee sessions during the day, bottomless brunches, sip-and-paint evenings, yoga and bingo.
The upstairs floor, previously unused, is now available for private hire. Bookings already include Christmas celebrations, birthdays, hen dos and a divorce party. The brothers also plan to make the space available without charge for daytime charity seminars.
Revolution closed in January after its parent company, The Revel Collective, entered administration, with 21 bars closing across the country.
