EMR delays continue after line reopens between Leicester and East Midlands Parkway
Trains are running again between Leicester and East Midlands Parkway, but EMR passengers still face lengthy delays and service changes.
Passengers on the Leicester–Nottingham and London St Pancras–Nottingham–Sheffield routes continue to face lengthy delays and service changes, despite the railway reopening between Leicester and East Midlands Parkway.
East Midlands Railway (EMR) said trains were moving again in both directions after a person was hit by a train, West Bridgford Wire reports.
The operator is working to get services back to the advertised timetable. EMR had given 7pm as its expected time for normal services to resume on the affected routes. That was an estimate rather than confirmation that the disruption had ended.
